It was an overflowing house at the Bean Runner Jazz Cafe to greet the US launch of Cheryl’s debut solo project “…a taste of jazz.”  Along with performing cuts from her new jazz EP, and some other standards from the Jazz and Classic R&B genres, Cheryl mixed it up with a few favorite songs of her native Jamaica, to the delight of her mixed audience.  Even audience members not of Caribbean descent greatly enjoyed being regaled with the strains of Evening Time and Jamaica Farewell, the latter a well-known calypso tune from Harry Belafonte.
